Create application export | OutSystems

In order to start a new analysis for an OutSystems application, you will first need to create an export of your OutSystems application. This section will show you how to create such an export.

NOTE: If you want to start a new OutSystems analysis once you have created the export, please refer to the Start new analysis | OutSystems’ Section of the Omnext Knowledge Base.

Step 1

Navigate to <yourorganization>.outsystemscloud.com/servicecenter in your browser, select the ‘Factory’ tab, followed by the ‘Solutions’ tab.

Step 2

Note that the export format for Omnext is .OSP. Therefore, in order to have your application analysed, you will need to publish all the application components (.OAP’s) into a Solution.

Please make sure to:

  1. Give each solution a clear name. for instance ‘Order Management’ or ‘CRM’.
  2. Once you have chosen a name for your solution, do not change it afterwards as the Omnext configuration is based on this name. If you change the name, the name of the export will change as well and the Automated Analysis will not run automatically due to a mismatch in the name.

Step 3

Select the solution you want to export to Omnext, and click the ‘Download’ button to download the .OSP export.

Step 4

Please name this .OSP file using the following naming format: YYMMDD_clientname_appname_scr. So, for instance, your export will can have the name 190701_Testclient_AppXYZ_scr. Also, please change the extension from .OSP to .ZIP.

Now you have saved the export using the required naming format, you can upload the .ZIP file to Omnext. please refer to the Start new analysis | OutSystems’ Section of the Omnext Knowledge Base for more instructions on uploading your export and start a new OutSystems analysis.
